Yep, me too. Just find it a bit odd that the album pre-orders are on and I've not seen any sign of a single pre-order.

I think they should do what they did with the Nixon singles and have their faces on the front covers of the different formats with them all sporting their porno taches

Definitely. Barry White covers for the b-sides.

I would say this, The Stereophonics have released singles off their latest album but they have only been downloads and they have had a video for each release. Does'nt pay now to have CD's.

I don't know anything about Stereophonics as people, but I know Manics are very nostalgic and they're record geeks themselves and they know a lot of their fans are too, that's the only reason I'm thinking we might get the physical singles.

I'm certain we will get physical singles. Let's not forget that there were a few left over tracks from PFAYM, and some titles that didn't get used for this album - The View From Stow Hill really can't fit on a harder album, can it? (unless it was renamed). We still have the O2 tracks that they're releasing. B-sides don't have to fit the sound of the album itself so we still might get some things to hear.
Not saying that these won't also be released digitally but the band are very much into physical media.

Yeah, I'm sure they're not lacking in material that could be used as b-sides, even if it's a bit more remixes, live, acoustic or whatever.
Probably more for the ambivalence thread this, but I'm kinda worried that they're not gonna bother with physical singles anymore. Going by twitter at the time, Nicky seemed to be quite disheartened with the chart performance of the Postcards singles and they're not daft, they know the industry's changed a lot since they started out but whatever. I'm sure if it were down to them we'd still be getting physical singles, but can see why Sony might not want to bother.

I'll be quite surprised (and disappointed) if we don't get a physical release, (preferably 2CDs please, want any B-sides in as good quality as possible!).
With a fanbase like the Manics have, not having a physical release in multiple formats is just throwing money away. I don't think Sony hate money yet.

after all I just want b-sides, I'm not that focused on CDs...certainly no vinyl as vinyl boom is one of the most tragic bubbles of the recent years.
