31, should be many others to come, perhaps Leeds will bring about a bit more of a revamp being a major city and all.

Relic, is that the set list from this evening (or should I say, last night?). How good does Golden Platitudes sound live (I'm currently very much in love with this song at the moment) and does Hazelton improve live?

No, it's the combined tour 'set list' so far, arranged by album. Golden Platitudes is a wonderful live track, and is getting a generally good reception. H A was nice to hear, and I preferred it to The Descent, but I reckon it was a fairly good decision not to keep it in the set. It would be nice to have it replaced by a different Postcards track though, the band are only doing four tracks from the new album per night now, they started off doing five.

Why are we only getting 4 maybe 5 songs from the new album, don't they have any faith in it?
I'm hoping by Norwich (in a week) a few more PFAYM tracks surface.

KYE/Lifeblood are only hated by the band because the critics hated it. That is all, they dont seem to have their own opinions they go by what everyone else thinks. The same reason they always play the hits live, they think that is all anybody wants to hear apart from the one nutter who shouts rarities out. They need to come to their senses and realise they are not a huge band anymore, and that most of their fanbase is made up of people who know most their songs and want to hear different ones.

I love this post

Do they have faith in anything they've done bar about 10 songs?
Man, it's saddd

I would like more variety too. I think they're at the stage in their career where they can safely assume that most of the audience know the albums.

Also, if they want to shift more units they should plug PFAYM more - only four tracks off it for the most recent shows.

But, then again, they're the ones up there, not me.

I agree with that, it would be nice to be able to reassure them how much we love some of the songs they never play.

I wonder how much of an effect 'the chant' has. Before he played Sleepflower in Cardiff 07, JDB said something along the lines of 'you've been shouting for this for years, you cheeky monkeys, so here I offer it up to you now...'

If it's the case that they brought Sleepflower back because of ten years of shouting that bodes well I'd have thought? It doesn't really work in reverse though I suppose - we wouldn't boo Kevin Carter.

Aye, sounds good to me. They're weird... They talk about mass communication, but the X Factor generation doesn't buy it. At the Sheffield gig, Wire slagged off Sheffield Arena too. If they're wanting mass communication, they'd probably have to play places like that again. No idea if they're any happier doing academies these days rather than arenas.

It's kinda frustrating really.. They're seem to be aware that they'll have to tailor their sets sometimes for different audiences. Probably not a good idea to play Motown Junk when you're supporting Paul McCartney... Makes sense to roll out the hits at festivals, big support slots or if they end up doing arenas again. When people are there specifically to see them at their own gig, probably cos they've bought a few albums, pretty much everything becomes a safe bet.

2. Australia
3. Yes
4. The Everlasting
5. 1985
6. Me and Stephen Hawking
7. All we make is entertainment
8. Billion balconies
9. Auto-intoxication
10. Don't be evil
11. Found that soul

If they open with Found That Soul at Southampton I think Bournemouth may very well know about it

I think the first 6 are a fair shout, but I'm not sure they're going to come out with any new PFAYM songs.

Enola/Alone to make an appearance in the EMG/KC slot sometime? Possibly Freedom Of Speech too, maybe once later on?
