Great idea for a thread, by the way. Those songs represent the Welshness I know, as opposed to the more popular "Tom Jones and Leeks" image you get in in the media.

Well I bought The Great Western but I don't think I bothered with the singles. Too late in the evening now. But that's breakfast music sorted tomorrow

The JDB bsides are well worth a listen! It's only through this thread though that I've found out that they have spelt it 'Vcitory and defeat on Kendon hill' on Spotify for some reason.

I've remembered late that I've always considered First Republic to be from a Welsh perspective too ('our industry', 'our princess'), it's the bridge between Repeat and 1404 to me, but that might be subjective.
