Christ.

Never seen the attraction with them. Pretentious bollocks.

Not too fussed about the current single but I've loved everything else they've done.

To those inconvenienced by September gig change, we will see them live again one day.
There's still no other band I'd rather see again than the Manics.
Even then, they still won't release a charity live album from it!

As an aside. You know nme.com? Well I noticed page numbers of very long numbers. Clicked one and look at that! News of progress of the new Manics album... From 1998!
No pictures, but look at how they're talking about TIMTTMY. The more things change the more they stay the same!

Having spotted seano dropping a stick in ADFL video; what is nicky doing at 4:28 of ME?

Whilst on the subject of videos; jimmy doesn't stay long in the cafe of Everlasting video and spends rest of video in the pub. Just worth noting

You've get to wonder why that's there, was NME on line at all in 97/98? Or did they get a work experience student, all excited about doing a placement at the NME, to spend their time scanning in old articles?

Looking back it's interesting about SYMM being described as the most epic song they've ever written. Not doubting the ambition was there but it didn't quite live up to its billing!

can confirm NME.com launched in 97 - it was my first year of college and first time I had regular access to the internet, and I was amazed I could access daily music news rather than waiting to Wednesday each week for the physical publication.

I remember the build up to TIMT during that time in the college computer room - in fact, I think i remember that very article as the first time I ever read about the band online!

Is the line "And Brian Warner has a tasty little ass" now more controversial then "I laughed when Lennon got shot"?

The KYE20 will probably have a bleep over that line!

Post starts about me then goes Manics related:

So early next month I'll be on a local local radio show reading one of my poems.
And I've selected "Nicky Wire's Last" as my favourite song.
Have I done good?

An edit to the vocal and replace with "Molko" and we're all good! I hope he's not a dehumanising narcissitic-personality-disordered, and therefore untreatable, asshole

"A woman raped by an Elvis impersonator when she was a 15-year-old dancer has said "he no longer controls her life" after he was finally put behind bars.

Kirsty McKell was abused by Clayton Sandlin in 2002 when he was starring in a show on Blackpool's Central Pier.

She has taken the rare step of waiving her right to anonymity to urge other victims of sexual abuse to speak out."
Godspeed on her recovery

Probably best known as the waxdroid Elvis in Red Dwarf episode Meltdown. Won't make watching that episode any easier in the future.
