I didn't think it was a done deal that it was wristbands either. Last I heard regarding Manchester, they were still deciding whether it was going to be or not. I'm in Manchester from tomorrow evening, so we were going to ask before Monday to double check what's actually happening.

On the email I got from HMV to say my order is on the way, £15.99.

That's pretty decent - is that from your local store or the online shop? I was advised the online shop is a different company, which is annoying; the Pink Floyd sets are £80-odd online and about £100 in store and it doesn't state the difference on the site.

So in this thread we have mixed messages about whether they are playing or not (I know they are only signing now) but as I am not going to Manchester, can anyone clear up what the deal is with the Brum thing? I have to pop into town this afternoon so I might ask HMV but as people are saying they don't have a clue so does anyone have a bloody clue???? /rant over
Also confused about this! If you don't get chance today I'm in the city centre on Saturday so will ask then.

I think the confusion could be because we've all assumed that it is a wristband job (judging from our previous experiences of signings) and I don't think it has been confirmed officially if it is a wristband job or not.

Just visited HMV in Birmingham City Centre and the guy I asked wasn't 100% sure if it was going to be a wristband event but he spoke to a colleague and she said it's very unlikely because of who they are (cheeky fucks!) so there's your answer. I would agree with them too, there won't be a great rush so see you guys in the queue nice and early!

I'll be getting there early to get my copies of NT anyway before they sell out!

Hope to see a few of you there - if you recognise me give me a shout.

EDIT: that sounds really pretentious - I mean that there's a picture of me on this board somewhere!

I doubt it will be wristbands either somehow, especially seen as it's just a signing and not a gig.

very new to the forum...

wanted to quickly say hello.....

i shall be at the manics signing in birmingham on monday. very excited. i don't live too far away...and i'm lucky that i can arrive at any time really. does anyone have any idea what is the 'right' time to arrive? i mean...is it worth standing outside at 9...when obviously the boys will be busy in cardiff at that time. i think i'll perhaps get into the city for 9...wander to hmv and see what the store says.

hopefully see some of you there.

As there are alot of pages in the thread and I haven't got the patience, I've got a few questions about monday.
Which Birmingham HMV is it at? The one in the Bull Ring or the one in the other shopping centre?
Who else is going? I'll be on my own, so it would be nice to meet up with some people?
