You're forgetting THB30 in-between (which is going to once again come and steal Lifeblood's thunder).

After hearing it live again last night, I just still refuse to believe Walk Me To The Bridge is about the Oresund Bridge

I could only find James singing Fairytale of New York or Last Christmas. Was "Christmas Eve" a b-side? Not sure which one you mean.

Manic Street Preachers - Christmas Eve

From BBC Radio Wales 'Christmas Day with Michael Sheen' broadcast on Christmas Day 2021.
Music written by Manic Street Preaches set to a poem by Welsh poet R.S. Thomas

The Everlasting music video looks like a parody of the "Manics standing around looking bored" trope despite being the originator of the trend. Love the idea of the original version being so dull that someone thought that setting everyone on fire would make it more interesting. It did not.

Saw this headline and wondering which of James, Nicky or Sean was in trouble for shouting the lyrics to Faster at people!

I asked ChatGPT to "Write song lyrics in the style of Manic Street Preachers in appreciation of Margaret Thatcher" and this is what it came up with:

She came with a vision, a plan in her mind
A conviction so strong, she left us behind

Chorus:
Oh Margaret, oh Margaret Thatcher
A leader so strong, she stood tall and true
Oh Margaret, oh Margaret Thatcher
A force to be reckoned with, through and through

Verse 2:
She faced every challenge with determination and grace
A trailblazer for women in a world full of hate

Chorus:
Oh Margaret, oh Margaret Thatcher
A leader so strong, she stood tall and true
Oh Margaret, oh Margaret Thatcher
A force to be reckoned with, through and through

Bridge:
She faced the opposition, she never backed down
She fought for what she believed, with her feet on the ground

Chorus:
Oh Margaret, oh Margaret Thatcher
A leader so strong, she stood tall and true
Oh Margaret, oh Margaret Thatcher
A force to be reckoned with, through and through
Of course I followed it up with this request "Write a song in the style of Manic Street Preachers about why Smiths Crisps are better than Walkers Crisps"

Here's mine

"Write song lyrics in the style of Manic Street Preachers about anime" ♡

Verse 1:
In the streets of Tokyo
The neon lights glow
The anime world comes alive
With stories to tell and secrets to hide

Chorus:
Anime, anime, our obsession
A source of endless fascination
With characters so bold and bright
We can't get enough, we stay up all night

Verse 2:
From battles to romance
The stories never cease to entrance
We follow our heroes on their journey
Through triumph and tragedy

Chorus:
Anime, anime, our obsession
A source of endless fascination
With characters so bold and bright
We can't get enough, we stay up all night

Bridge:
We escape to a world of fantasy
Where anything is possible
With each episode, we're drawn in
To a world of limitless imagination

Chorus:
Anime, anime, our obsession
A source of endless fascination
With characters so bold and bright
We can't get enough, we stay up all night.
