All this recent talk of Withdrawn Traces got me thinking... I've never actually read any book about the Manics and based all of my knowledge about the band from scans of old articles found on the web.
Now, could you guys recommend me some titles? What I'm looking for in particular are the tidbits and trivia that you won't find on places like Wikipedia etc. Any help here?

I don’t think there’s any one Manics book which is held up high in Manics circles tbh. There were a couple in the 90s (Sweet Venom? being one) but they’d be well out of date now.
The Jenni Insardi (?) book will probably have loads of non-Wiki stuff in it but it’s also likely to be a huge chunk of fiction. Despite its flaws and the author, I think Everything by Simon Price is still probably seen as the best Manics book. Again the band have disputed some parts and I haven’t read it for years so it might’ve aged badly, but it’s probably the best.

Thanks, I'll probably start with Everything then! I don't mind it not being up to date, as I'm mostly interested in their early years.
