Opened my Lifeblood vinyl yesterday as I'd been away when it was delivered - looks beautiful, just one omission - the first Vinyl disc!

I can't tell if my original 192kbps rip doesn't have the skips or is so low quality I can't hear them

I've got notable glitches in I Live to Fall Asleep on my CD, I've not checked the other BBC live tracks closely enough to comment on them

I've failed to get a physical as well. I suck. Album still number 9 in the midweeks. These hours are going to be long and I haven't got the luxury of a hotel window to look out of.

Everybody Knows/Nobody Cares feels like the lost 3rd single to Futurology.

No. 27 on the Top 100.
But 10 on both physical and sales charts.

I've been getting really into Quarantine (In My Place Of).
Oh that would been a cool summer single!

Say what you want about TLORN, it has four times as many listens as any other track (Empty Souls) on YouTube music.

Definitely one of stand outs of the era finally released from it's low quality DVD rip. This, Voodoo Polaroids and Soulmates pretty much provide an outline for the Great Western. Dying Breeds sounds like a straight Nicky track though, doesn't sound like Sean and James are on there at all.

Forgot how beautiful mich of Lifeblood is. Really enjoying this reissue.

Anyone an idea if there will be Japanese standard and book set with bonus track? CDJapan seem to have preorders for the book set but not standard.

The 1985 demo sounds like what MGMT are doing in 2024!

I've always considered Futurology to be LB part 2 in a way.

Agreed. Superb track, my favourite of the Lifeblood B-Sides and definite Futurology vibes.

Definitely. I think that's a big part of the slow reassessment of Lifeblood ,both critically and personally. For a while it was hard not to see Lifeblood as a failed experiment of a 'third way' ,but Futurology showed it was the start of a new sound that they continued to develop and grow into.

With the (amazing) un-DVD-fied Voodoo Polaroids and Quarantine, I've pretty much gotten my Lifeblood 2. While I like the additon of Automatik Technicolor and Forever Delayed on the Japanese Lifeblood CD2, this CD2 flows better -- from the surprise opener of Askew Road to the new and closing, wonderful remaster of the Soulmates.
