I do have Nicky's solo album, I got it off amazon when they had a deal on. I've only listened to a few tracks. It's ok. But then, I'm not a Nicky girl.

Forget James making babies, maybe the hiatus is to give Nick a chance to write these two books he's got a deal for...

I seriously don't understand that. how people can NOT appreciate Nicky's solo albums or songs sung by him? my brain is too small to understand it. I just don't get it and don't suppose I ever will.

I own it as well, and it's a strange record. It has definitely a sense in it. If you happen to hear some tracks here and there, it will make you laugh. But if you listen to it like...from the start until the end, it gets a sense and it's really lovely. I don't know how to explain it, I'm sorry.

Well, if the 1st one is due for November, I guess it's already completed?

It'll be good to have chance to save up, too. Definitely.

Oh yeah, changed me mind, can you text us the Pinkpop set on Saturday? Ta.
Only because I have free weekend texts. If there are no surprises, I won't bother.

Oh ok. Ta. Maybe.

Ha, I love how nothing splits the forum like the prospect of another Nicky Wire solo album.

James won't last two weeks before he's crawling the walls and wanting to record something!

I'd prefer one from James but I'll take a deep breath and prepare myself if he goes near another microphone. Nah, I do like his album, but I can see why people are put off.

give a try to Derek Jarman's Garden (which is in fact a crime that in didn't appear on the album!) or Bobby Untitled, 2 the most amazing tunes ever created in the universe. if you can't love these two then I give up.

I'll be watching this interview on repeat for the next few months at least!

This is potentially good news. Give them chance to come up with something exciting and challenging. And no new Greatest Hits is a bonus!
