Rachel Elias née Edwards on missing

Wah I saw this on Tumblr earlier. It was really moving, and its great to see how she hasn't completely given up hope of the chance that he is still alive. I couldn't even honestly begin to think of what she and his parents went through at that time, let alone the rest of the band.

And her voice did remind me a lot of Richey's, there's definitely many similarities between him and his sister.

I wanted to add my admiration for Rachel to all of yours, even though I know she'll never read this. She's a wonderful person to do what she does and I really hope her family gets some answers.

In this month's issue of SHE magazine there is an article on this programme along with an interview with Rachel and a lovely picture of her and Richey as kids. I will have a go at scanning it but its been years since I have used the scanner and have forgotten what to do so bare with me.

I agree with all of the commenst regarding Rachel, kudos to her. I watched this programme on the IPlayer last night and really felt for her. There were 2 other cases which I remembered: Andrew Godstone and Ben Needham.

That must be terrible for you all. Thanks for sharing your pain and hope you find him soon.

thank you everyone, that means a lot, i think you just have to remember that your family are not the only ones going through this, thousands of other families are all waiting for news/ answers and until you have a definate sighting or photo you just dont know if your loved one is still alive, in 1995 liverpool police never told other police forces etc so i know what rachel means when she said there was no communication between various forces and they didnt always list if your loved one was vulnerable. my brothers wife cheated on him and when he wasnt happy about it she tried her best to stop him seeing his 6yr old twin sons. your kind words mean a lot everyone and i hope we do see him again as he has missed out on so much and we have been through so much as a family.

If his sister's anything to go by, prob not much different to 15 years ago. She doesn't look 41 at all, especially considering all the stress she's been through since he vanished. Plus Richey was always kinda baby faced.

What a wonderful person Rachel is though. It takes a lot to use your own suffering in a positive way and help others.

I felt more for Valerie Nettles who is also in that article talking about her 16 year old son going missing from the Isle of Wight than Richey as Richey chose to disappear.
