My quote (just that William Morris one about having nothing in your house which you do not know to be beautiful or believe to be useful) goes on the set-list, and I (+1) get on the band guestlist and meet them before the show.

Has this been done for every gig?

Oh God, I'm not cool about this at all. Will be torn between gushing wildly at and then licking Nicky, and remembering that I'm 37 and my husband's standing next to me.

Shall I request a song - I suppose something we know they've rehearsed? Wonder if I should ask them for an interview for the Big Issue, which I write for (not there and then!).

I only entered this 'cause I won that Ben Myers comp for a proof copy of Richard, and thought 'maybe I'm lucky at Manics comps...'

coughs YES Congratulations by the way

I will probably be around Brixton by about 5 or 6 and will check out some local boozer for a few pints of the local finest(no more fucking Carling!), head in once the doors open and try and get a good spot just before BSP come on. I'll be on my own for this gig so would be on for a few pints afterwards maybe. My lovely girlfriend is coming with me to the Friday gig, so not sure what we will be doing after.

ah it was you who won the Richard comp! (I entered too!)

Well, if it's not against your own taste, you could ask them to reinstate Lifeblood in the setlist... any track they want!

PARTY after the Friday one of course Although I'll be partying after the Thursday one too to be honest. I wish I didn't have to but I do. When in Rome like!
Going to this Thursday one with an ex-pat mate who I finally persuaded to go. It's going to be a barrel of laughs as he hates everything post-KYE. It's nice though as the first time I ever seen the Manics was along with him when we were 17, although him and the others stayed at the back getting pissed shouting for PCP while I wandered down to the front myself. I have a feeling history could repeat itself. He's working so Thursday will prob be a bit later for me. I say around 6. I'll get to the front for Friday hopefully so not too bothered as long as noone is fucking pints over my hair to wreck this new fringe as I have to go out straight after the gig.

i can't believe this gig is like in 3 days time!!!!!!! I've so much to organise.

Am travelling down tomorrow from Manchester for the gig, am praying that this isn't cancelled. Any alternative bands to see in London on Wednesday or Thursday evening, just in case?!
