Also during the Belfast show last year James claimed that "We'll never ever turn our backs on this city." And now JDB isn't a lying type is he?

Now that I'm going to see them across the water, I hope they play Ireland later in the year or early next year.
They should do a proper Irish tour. That would be mental. |

I doubt it.

"No Irish date" would be a more apt title as dates is an improbability. The two dates in winter 2007 were a once-off. They sold out though! Dublin and Belfast are usually on the cards though as mentioned the last time they did a big tour like this, Send Away the Tigers may/June 2007 Ireland was left off it as well.
With regards to this being a "UK Tour" being a reason why there's no gigs in Ireland... well last year's tour was a "UK Tour" and there was a gig in Dublin. There's not been an exclusive "Irish tour" I don't think ever. There's certainly not been a tour of gigs in Ireland in at least 10 years. Shame they leave out Cork actually. There's a ferry from Wales to there and they'd have no bother selling tickets. The Olympia in Dublin where they played last year seems to be fairly free around Oct. |

Agreed, it's not racist though.
