We still love lifeblood, it's just SATT that no one likes.

He! He! Yeah. I could imagine having a blazing row with James just on the subject of Lifeblood!

I really don't know. Something rocky I guess. I like the direction of JFPL, so something in that vein, but progressed on would be good. I just hope it's something they're proud of and don't dismiss almost straight away. I'm looking forward to some great artwork (maybe designed by me...)

Based on what's been said by the band it's going to be 'Tigers' Mark 2, so the best we can hope for is a version with a bit more substance. Certainly the lyircs have to be better - and Wire's comment that they're heavily inspired by Ballard is a good sign. But I'm expecting the mix of clasic rock-isms and big string sections to continue. Sadly.

The other day I listened to Bright Eyes' 'Digital Ash In A Digital Urn' (and the Errors remix of 'All Is Vanity') and it struck me that that was what 'Lifeblood' should have sounded like - darker, more electronic. I mean, I quite like 'Lifeblood' but it does sound like they started in more of that direction ('Everything Will Be', 'Everyone Knows/Nobody Cares', 'Nixon') but then bottled it and wrote some more traditional songs.

So I'd like them to make a more electronic album, in the style of 'Tolerate' and 'SYMM' and 'There By The Grace Of God'. Will never happen of course.

That would have been amazing.

Am I the only person left who still loves Tigers? This saddens me. To be honest, regardless of what genre they branch off into, I just want it to be lyrically and musically good. Though I reckon they'll go for a happy poppier sound again. I also want good cover artwork, better than Tigers which was rubbish, and a good haircut from Nicky.

I really like the SATT songs live, but there's something about the studio album which doesn't really do it for me.

I wouldn't say I love it, but I definitely like SATT. If I was going to stick one of the albums on and listen to it all the way through it would be one of my top choices.

Yeah, same hear. It probably helps that it has really good memories attached to it, but it's one of my favourite Manics albums for just listening to, and like Ben said, it's also really good live.

Some people like Nicky vomiting quite a lot, if the amount of comments in Appreciation about the Tolerate video are any measure.

harrijack, I still like SATT! It's by no means my favorite of the albums and I don't like a lot of the songs on it...but there are several I still listen to and enjoy!
