I'm guessing the greatest hits album will have the obligatory new song so at least there's that to wait for.

It gives them at least a good reason to keep playing the same greatest hits setlists over and over.

I love my mum

'Mum the Manics are doing a Greatest Hits tour this winter'

'How's that different from the last tour?'

Love that she cottons on to their ways without actually seeing them.

Really hope this is true, it'd make up for missing out on seeing them in May! And I think my Christmas holiday from uni will start on 9th December, so December dates would be very convenient.

good luck with that, pretty sure they don't class it as a 'greatest hit' and hate it!

I'm pretty sure what I saw in Newport last year was a greatest hits show.

And I saw the Forever Dlayed tour. Will it be that plus Autumnsong, Your Love Alone.., and the PFAYM singles?

Do you think they'll wuss out of making a complete collection and ignore PFAYM apart from JCEQT?
Yes was going to be a single, but I'd be suprised if they put that one as well.
I'll be thinking about this for months until the tracklisting is confirmed now...

A complete singles collection would be great but it's most likely just going to be a 1-CD hit comp.

Yes to a tour, a big fat fucking NO to another greatest hits. Stop reflecting on past glories and get on with a new album please.

In their defense, didn't one of the members here ask Sean about it at the Hard Rock gig and he said it's the label's decision to do a greatest hits compilation?

I approve of all of this, especially if "tour" means "outside Europe, in particular North America!" And I don't mind if they play the hits - when you have a band who's been around for awhile and has an extensive back catalog, of course they're going to do all the big songs! And from the looks of previous setlists, it looks like they do change things up a bit.

Though if they do a "vote for what you want on the setlist" thing, I'm asking for Miss Europa Disco Dancer hehe.
