The 1991 VAT tribunal did little to quell the arguments; refusing to accept the court's verdict on the matter, Sean quit the sessions, leading to the programmed drums you hear on the finished album today.

#37 Richey was disappointed when the band vetoed his idea of listing the titles of every track on The Holy Bible in reverse, "to demonstrate society's backwards approach" to many of the songs' subject matters. In the end a compromise was made, and he was allowed to retain two reversed titles: 'Revol' (actually titled 'Lover'), and 'PCP' (actually titled 'PCP').
