Ooh I forgot about KYE!! (I wonder why ) No, a KYE anniversary edition would be cool. Someone should message them on twitter to prod them to confirm it!

Yeah, although I reckon Nicky will start making excuses like 'oh, I was pissed when I sent that' etc etc.

Just saw the first post and I was like "oooo" but then saw it was from 2008. They're dragging their feet aren't they with this special edition, they still looking in the dusty old catacombs for the infamous Tsunami mix?

I hate the way the album is shunned. For many of us it was the first foray into a full Manics album - building on the interest piqued by the EMG singles. It was our SATT (only not shit).

I think it's about time there was another one - so I reckon we should push for a GT 20th Anniversary edition in 2012 Or failing that a Lifeblood 10th Anniversary edition in 2014 - We should def make it happen (I'm not joking!!)
No. Really, really no.

Would love this (even though it's two years too late). Would've been a perfect way to complete the series of retrospective releases on what are, for me, the Manics' Holy Trinity.

I wonder if this will ever happen... seems doubtful. Shame really. At least you can hear the b-sides etc by other means (though i'm not sure i've heard them all).

Maybe we'll eventually get UK pressings of them Japanese mini LP things from last year? I kinda hope not, I've already spent too much.

Awwww.... Not even Lifeblood? (even though as the band seem to be quite critical of it, it's probably never gonna happen...)

Presumably the EMG 10th CD didn't sell well enough to justify a TIMT SE? Logically they should have done all three of those albums, so it must have come down to the money.

I can't ever see any other Manics albums being issued in 'proper' special editions, although I'd like to hear the version of Lifeblood that was around before Tom Elmhirst mixed the fucking life out of it.

If worst comes to worst & they can't get the budget for a release, just release the extra tracks/different mixes as downloads. They're not doing anything for them gathering dust in the vaults.

I can understand why they re-released THB and EMG as they were two critical albums in the bands past, marked a huge shift in their dynamic and was the period when they were (arguably) at their most prolific. What would we be benefitting from a Lifeblood re-release? They've pretty much tried to stifle it's existence as it is. I don't see why they'd want to put in the public domain again.

My biggest problem is with the 20th Anniversary Edition of GT. When do you stop? Should there be a 20th Anniversary edition of The Holy Bible as well? It just seems like a bit of a ludicrous cycle of suff being released for the sake of it (and this coming from a Manics collector).

Surely it's not a re-release of albums that is the point but the extra tracks that come with them. What would Lifeblood & TIMT (the albums as they stands) possibly gain from a remastering?

They've already said they could do a really good GT one with all the stuff they've got and I imagine TIMT could be done well with things like that Anniversary To Death and alternative sped up version of Tsunami lying about somewhere
