Shame how fast the Manchester signing was but I guess they were all fucking shattered. The remasterings on the album are beyond excellent and I got a weary smile from James.
Wonderful day.

If any one wonders who the mad old bint was walking round with a blue feather duster it was me!! it was part of my 'escape plan' if I was caught sciving by my Supervisor, I would have said I was going off to Boots to dust the stands there

Sorry your attempt to get there failed Sue!
Could have done without a colleague telling me 'You should have gone!' Must be a long tiring day for the band. DM mentioned about them not looking up when they signed his stuff - Must be hard doing that sort of stuff if you are naturally shy and have to try and be chatty etc.

Glad I went today despite the security the chats with everyone and getting the autographs was great.

it would be uncomfortable for the three of them to be in the back of one car for such a long journey

I enjoyed Manchester, even if it was short and sweet. I don't think you can expect much else from events like this tbh. I managed to get the deluxe CD/DVD and the book signed and had a photo taken with James, which I may upload tomorrow once I'm home if I decide I don't look like a total twat The security were adament that you couldn't stand next to them if you wanted a photo, but to lean over the desk instead; I'm not sure exactly what they thought we were going to do to them from the side, but there we go. I didn't really say much to the band other than thank you and asking James for a photo, but eye contact and a smile from Bradders does me just fine
I didn't realise the books were going to be available until today and on the way out I couldn't see any left where there had been a big stack of them earlier in the afternoon. It was nice to briefly say hello to relic in the queue too; glad you decided to go in the end! |

Was a people carrier. Unless someone's a real seat hog, I can't imagine it would be that bad!

I noticed Martin Hall at the Brum signings, he was with another bloke so I suppose they would fill a few cars with the 'hangers on'
