The PPF tour wasn't huge and those were small-ish venues; I don't remember having issues getting tickets for that, but I could be wrong and I suppose this is the band's first UK tour for a couple of years. Fingers crossed for everyone though, let's think positive thoughts!

True But they did bill that tour as playing a few rarities (lots of THB popped up if I remember rightly), which probably even drew in fans put off by Lifeblood.

yea i was just teasing. I've not had trouble before either..think in 2007 i got tickets a few days after they went on sale for the winter set of dates, 2009 was easy aswell, not too many dates and the promise of an entire album played.

It'll be fine tommorrow IT HAS TO BE

My first Manics gig was the Wolves date on the PPF tour ^____^ I remember I was Manixfangirling about on the computer in the local library (so 4real) because ours was broken, and completely freaking out when I saw tickets were on sale - I can't remember why I was so unprepared, possibly an unexpected presale? Oh, how little has changed. Except that I have my own computer now. YEAH!

Great gig. I regret not going to more of that tour, only managed that and Derby.

I had no idea of the concept of doing more than one date on a tour, or queueing, or anything else, and I desperately wish I had for PPF. That gig is still quite possibly my best ever, definitely right up there if not at the very top (fighting with other Manics gigs, because again, I am 4real). Perfect setlists that tour, proof that they can do it.

I'd say the demand is due to the NT night, the new fans want to see them again after that gig which is a typical response to any fan who would have seen them for the 1st time that night.

No matter what LP they've done in the past 14 yrs the PPF tour had to be the best I saw them in the last 11 yrs, the NR was good but not a touch on that night in April 2005.

I just hope they do a tour of THB 1 day or play 5 songs from it on a proper LP not the singles they always play from EMG & TIMTTMY

I'm don't queue and I had done more than one date on previous tours. Additionally, the promise of rarities had my geeky side very excited. I had a great time at those two gigs, and a massive day of drinking between them with sculptureofabloke. Thing is, much as it meant the world to us, we probably spent too much time in pubs around that time to really give the tour careful consideration and/or planning. Could've easily got to more had we tried harder. Ah well, I thoroughly enjoyed the dates I did go to so I didn't exactly lose out. As with every Manics tour, I'm very excited for September.

PPF was the best, hope you all get something akin to that in September. The second Hammersmith night was by far the best of my 18 gigs, just absolute magic. The brilliant thing was how spontaneous it felt, for once.

Agree about the PPF tour being their best. The Leeds date on that tour still remains my favourite Manics gig.

As an aside, it's 10 years to the date since my first Manics gig (Move festival). Oh how time flies!
