I think Patrick Jones having mainstream promotion is about as hilarious as anything, particularly for anyone who has seen his awful plays.

Can't judge it until there's some idea of what it will be about. That's all I'm saying!

Think it's a bad idea to be honest, and it'll never really get off the ground even if they do decide to do it.

It's hard enough just getting to see a film of them producing their new album, Send Away the Tigers

I thought Patrick Jones's play Everything Must Go with characters quoting lines by the Manics was a brilliant piece of work. I'm still too sure about the musical though... It might not be the best way to go after PFAYM.

It really doesn't sound like a good idea. An original rock opera, perhaps. Although I probably would go to see it. Curiosity and all.

A musical? Dear God, I hate musicals.

Everything Must Go (the play) worked with MSP music worked into it, but a full blown musical does sound like a truly awful idea.

They ought to learn from what's happened to bands who've done musicals before now - Pet Shop Boys spring to mind.

No musical is a good idea! Doesn't mean it won't be good for the band if people choose to go and see it - for whatever reason.

I really don't like the 'concert' musicals. 'Mamma Mia' works. A Manics one? I don't think so, unless it's really good and it gets a good writer who can weave a really story. The Manics just aren't musical material, unless it's really dark. And people don't like dark.
