What an incredible show. Mega fun...seriously that was a blast.

I yelled out to James to play Sleepflower for the acoustic part of the show and he said "no fucking way". Haha, sadly that is the only part of the show I didn't get on video!

Video didn't turn out that great. Soundwise it gets muffled because of the speaker being way too close. I was literally standing infront of it and my camera person was standing next to me. It gets a bit better better after we switched spots during the moshing during Motown Junk. The camera, due to the fact that the first two rows were mega into the show, looks like the crowd is incredible and active. No, it really was just a few of us. In "You love us" you actually get to see some of the moshing and if you look close at the crowd behind us they all look dead.

But, in their defense, some of them were old enough to be corpses.

But, lets be honest, it was still amazing to get to hang out in a room, in America, full of Manic fans and just sing along to the songs and just have fun.

I'll try to post that video sometime tomorrow or monday.

Oh, and believe it or not, Sean was social in Detroit for whatever reason. Nicky also declared he wanted my trousers! Score!

Had a great time at the show last night. Was disapointed with the turn out but what can you do. Met James before the show. He said he went to the Motown Museum & other touristy stuff. He said he was happy to see that Fishbones was still there as he ate there before the show in 1999.

He was quite surprised when i told him that I was at the Reading Hexagon show in 2007. He has a good memory because he remembered the date & that he played the grandstang theme during his acoustic section.

When James saw that my buddy brought his maranello bass to be signed by Nicky, James told him that he would take it on the bus to be signed & pick it up after the show. We couldnt believe how nice and down to earth he was.

All in all one of the most memorable nights of my life.

It sounds like a great gig and the setlist looks good too. I'm so glad that this North American tour is going so well.

Cool. Lots of pics of Sean. He tends to be forgotten or lost in the fog at these shows.

No way! ...My shoes are all far too nice to be wasted on that! At least if they do play it I can have a song where I get my camera out and take a decent amount of photos during my sulk...

I'm finally home and I've uploaded all the pictures I thought were decent enough, or salvageable in photoshop. I'm actually very thrilled with a couple of them. Both my Chicago and Detroit pictures are just lumped together (hence the post to each thread!), but not mixed up. I'm pretty sure the album is public. If not, I clearly do not know how to operate facebook.

Anyway, I won't go into my sappy, sobbing reviews. Those were reserved for livejournal. But I loved everyone I met, so if anyone happened to like me, I seriously need more manics fans in my life. Feel free to add me on whatever of these you use... hey, +1 friend for you, at least!

Awww, how great are the guys being at the moment? They've always seemed genuinely interested in the fans, but this looks to have been amplified on the American tour.

Video of Jackie Collins. Nicky centric but in my defense James' monitor was in my way.
