Bless! Just been over to The Rush Forum and this chap called Earl says he's going to check out more of the Manics because he says I come across as really passionate about them. (Not that I want to sound like I'm bragging!) Just nice to get people interested in them. I think he's just a casual fan at the moment so you never know!

Wow. Still recovering. Both gigs were phenomenal.
Re: Vancouver - I told James after the gig that Lifeblood was my favourite (obviously he was a bit shocked at someone saying that about, in his words, "The dark horse of the Manics' catalogue"), and then he said to me, "You must be bleached in retrospection," and added that he meant that in a nice way. I got Nicky's setlist from a band tech, and when I saw him later, gave him my Paul Robeson button (with quote "The artist must take a side, he must elect to fight for freedom or for slavery.") Nicky mentioned that James had lost his Robeson album, and I joked, "What a bitch!" Nicky replied, "Yes, he is!" Nicky Wire Injury Report: Nicky developed a blister on his index finger. I saw it, and it doesn't look too serious. All Clear! What a rad couple of nights. I wrote a (short, admittedly cliche-ridden) review for Ticketmaster Canada and uploaded one of my pictures, but it may not be up for another 72 hours. I still have to look through most of my shots and pick the best for my FB album, and I'll be sure to link and/or upload them here. I have a lot of catching up to do today, so I may not be able to do it until tomorrow night (remember that I'm behind most of you by 8 hours.) Zero qualms with the setlist. As much as I would have loved to hear something from LB, or more from SATT, I totally understand why they did a "Greatest Hits, New Stuff + A Random Few" for their first trip back in 10 years. |

He! He! Thanks for that review Rockpants! I suppose Lifeblood does have a retrospective feel to it, maybe that's what James was getting at!

Thanks for the vids, my auntie just came and said I'm too loud and it's too late for me singing.
@ This Is Yesterday - I'd love to hear this song some day!
