This all seems a bit pointless, especially as the bbc dont accept unsolicited scripts for established shows.

I dont watch Dr Who, but I assume there is a series long story arc? How could Nicky possibly know what that involves? I bet you he doesn't even finish it anyway.

Would much rather James wrote a script for it instead!

Would this be the 'big fucking scary monster'? Or loosely based at least

They'll bend the rules whenever they think it's in their interests. Having a policy of not reading solicited scripts is just in place to allow them to ignore the ridiculous amount of crap they certainly get sent. That's why it's who you know that matters. Producers aren't waiting for a great script to turn up in the post, they're waiting for someone they respect to say 'Nudge, nudge, have a read of this'.

Well perhaps they wouldn't actually say 'Nudge, nudge'.

It must have really burned Nicky that David Tennant likes the Kaiser Chiefs?

Ok, now you can lock the thread!

okay, I admit, today I just found a peacefull moment to read the newest Nicky's blog. and correct me if I'm wrong, but Nicky quotes one of famous Dylan Thomas' villanelle 'Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night' with the words 'Rage, rage against the dying of the light'. didn't Tennant quote the same line in The Shakespeare Code as well?
