Great news as I'd already bought my ticket on the basis Pulp were playing, Tom Jones is the Saturday night headliner, shame they aren't both on the same day to get a little collaboration.

Shame there will be no Manics-Tom Jones collaboration, it would be good to have James thrash Jonesy hands down again.

I went to see MSP at IOW in 2004. I have many fond memories of that weekend, the main one being Lindz waking up the morning after, still in shock that the Wire was sporting a beard.

I wonder if this means they will be playing Rockness at all then? It's on the same weekend but it's quite common for bands to play both, Kasabian are doing so next year and the Strokes did it last year. There were some others that did it too, but I forget who they were.

Amen! Because if it hadn't have been for them replacing The Chemical Brothers (Who were booted to the main stage when Travis pulled out) I would never have met my intended! We were botht here on our own just for the Manics

They might have quite a crowd. The main stage has The Script followed by Beady Eye and then Kasabian. I've been trying to think of a worse festival lineup than that and I actually can't, it's horrendous.

I was tempted after seeing the line-up, but adding the cost of the festival ticket, travel/ferry- just to get there...erm, no thanks!

I've booked tickets, went in 2004 and loved it. Have been several times since, my favourite festival, although it is getting bigger all the time it's still got something special about it.
