One can only hope they will do something interesting with the set for the gigs next month, especially after the disappointing Postcards tour set, which as many have already said, was a greatest hits tour anyway.

I approve of all of this, especially if "tour" means "outside Europe, in particular North America!" And I don't mind if they play the hits - when you have a band who's been around for awhile and has an extensive back catalog, of course they're going to do all the big songs! And from the looks of previous setlists, it looks like they do change things up a bit.

Though if they do a "vote for what you want on the setlist" thing, I'm asking for Miss Europa Disco Dancer hehe.
if miss europa disco dancer won that would be the best thing ever

I guess it depends on whether they get to pick the track list for it. I think it would be great it the fan input was taken into consideration somehow via polls on the official site.
I hope it's not just singles that are put on cos as we know, a lot of the Manics best songs are album tracks and sometimes b-sides.

I agree. Another straight forward greatest hits would be pointless, and as the recent failures of SKON and PFAYM show no-ones really interested anymore. Surely in this day and age greatest hits packages are redundant?

I'm not sure about this, the 'greatest hits' packages are usually the best selling ones for bands or singers

May's definitely out, so are all festivals this year, unless they suddenly announce Reading. *fingers crossed for the future* If not, oh well, fate and all that!

Aye, that'll be nice. Hope it's more of a best of than greatest hits though.
