I read that BSP's Waving Flags could be heard on X factor last Saturday. And instrumental version obviously. Yan's vocals would probably be considered a little too outlandish for the x factor.

Yeah, Yan has too much of a what I would describe as a theatrical vocal (mean that in a good way, even if it doesn't read like it! ) for a show like X Factor. I know what I mean even if no one else does.

I've been away, and this thread is SOOO long - is it right what it says on Wikipedia? The album got to no. 3, but INW was the worst-performing single since LBN?!

Truth, to be fair it was behind two albums that were expected to outsell the Manics by most people.

Single performance is true and funny but I don't like it so much so the humour is good.

Album down to #22 this weekend. Probably sold about 5/6,000 copies this past week then to get there.

oh! Who said it was at 37? I'd expected another drop of ten or so places but not as low as 37...22 is alright

Did the Manics chuck them off their guestlist or something???

(ignore my playful poking fun at your English Jakub!)

I said it was 37 on this week's HMV chart.

Quite surprising, really. You'd think HMV would be one of their better markets. Then again, their chart is probably completely made up, but if that's the case, you'd think they'd have made it up a bit better for the Manics after that corporate gig.

oh right i thought hmv listed the national chart..must be their sales only then. Dunno about one of their better markets...i would think most people would get stuff from amazon or play as they tend to be cheaper than hmv or are they? They used to be more expensive anyway

edit: amazon have them at 22 and Play at 19
edit 2: 17 at tescos
can't be arsed checking asda
