We all knew that the album wasn't completely finished, but it's interesting that they haven't even finished recording it weeks after Sony set a release date in stone.

The Strokes said they hope to get their album out in September but I doubt their record company will hold them to it if they need time to make further improvements.

What I'm basically saying is [whisper]I hope we don't get another Underdogs moment[/whisper].

What I'm looking forward to most is sitting down with my guitar and working out and playing along to the new songs

Assuming they are good of course

Seems a bit odd they are still recording if it was going for mixing....perhaps these are bsides, which might be more likely.

True, 'Ian McCulloch singing duet' in Cardiff needn't necessarily even have anything to do with a Manics release.

I'm more excited with John Cale than Ian, but then two great names next to each other on the Manics record. plus Duff on the other one. HOW EXCITING IS THAT??!!

Yeah, this for sure! Echo & the Bunnymen are a top favorite band of mine (although their more recent endeavors are far away from the glory of their initial slew of albums), anyone who has not done so needs to at least hear Porcupine and Ocean Rain.
