Was trying to work out what it reminds me of, and I think it shares a bit of DNA with Ritual No.1. Can't remember if that was a Bside or a non album track (I lost track with IKTZ songs!l

Also every song that Wire has ever sung is in D!
Quite proud of myself I worked out the chord sequence in the car this morning! (D, A, Em, G) |

Its better than the last one for sure. Now can we get Sean on vocals, really double down on the midlife crisis. The new Ringo.

I didn't mind it. Hardly a classic and it could have done with a longer intro and outro, but I enjoyed it enough that I'd probably go back to it. Come to think of it, I like around half of the Nicky vocal Manics tracks (and most of his solo work).
Perhaps it will make more sense when we hear the album but it seems like an odd choice so far, it doesn't sound like single material to my ears. Maybe it's a good thing though, I've found most of their singles from the last decade either mundane or terrible. It also reminds me of something I can't put my finger on just yet. Clearly that morning coffee is wearing off. |

I second that! But what's this midlife crisis thing I keep reading about? Is it because of the whole Top 10 lap on the Nurburgring business?

In fact the idea of Wire as the front man, Wayne on bass, the female presence (Wayne's girlfriend) and Jimbo playing a Strat(!) is very subtly clever. I dig it.

Fantastic song. Fresh and uplifting. Much prefer it to D&F.

Song is growing on me. Really enjoyed the video. Nice to see Wire given a front and centre role but feels a bit weird not hearing JDB sing.
