Nah, it's fine. I've walked through them alone at gone 2am and been fine. There are always people about no matter what time it is
Everyone who is heading back towards the centre of town will be going back that way anyway.

Ah well, I've survived NYC so........................................

Cheers for that pic Counterlanguage! I recognise the muriel that goes under the roundabout. Gonna be a bit of a walk. Didn't realise it was just off the roundabout. Thought it was on the main road opposite the Hippodrome.

Just wanted to ask, what sort of toilet facilities are there near to or a bit further out from the venue. Know I can use the venues ones and maybe sneak into the Hippodrome whilst no one's looking, just wondered if there are any other ones nearby.

Yeah.
This is the end of the academy, and you can just see the etap hotel:

Looks like I will in fact be attending now. But I'll be on my own so if anyone can tolerate my company, let's meet up.

There's only one walking route to the venue from the city centre, through the subways at Holloway Circus, but every going to the gig by bus/train will be heading the same way.

And Smallbrook Queensway is lined with takeaways which stay open pretty much all night, so you should be safe enough.

It's only rough if you go off the main roads, to be honest.

I've wandered around the City Centre at night and it's perfectly safe! There will be a lot of Manics fans going towards the Arcadian, I would expect or in other directions - even if you do wait for the band afterwards so I don't think anyone has anything to be worried about. If you're worried about walking then grab a taxi and you should be okay.

Good idea about the taxi. I'm not too panicky, it's just being sensible like you would in any city. Won't be taking any underpasses unless I have to though!
