I love James' interviews. I know Nicky is the usual mouthpiece of the band but mostly I prefer how James thinks/expresses himself.

now if we could only get Sean to talk every now and then...

Good point of view

He doesn't say in the interview that there won't be a Greatest Hits does he? Just that there won't be a new album. Their Record Company may still release the Greatest Hits this year.

The very worst thing about the hypothetical nightmare of the band being made into a human centipede is that there's a 1/3 chance that Nicky would end up at the front and be the only one with a functioning mouth. And he'd sing. Eurgh.

Well, we don't want them burning out, so I'm ok with this. Plus, like everyone said, we have the book coming out later this year! And didn't Nicky have a cryptic tweet last year?

Nicky wire and the pieces of sleep Nicky wire and the malcontents Nicky wire and the wax cylinders The return of the man in the pink suit??

Another solo album, maybe?

I need your help people...what does the interviewer says before James replies 'It might be, yeah. Thanks for reminding me!' (or so I understand) at 5:13?

Weird that he's considering post-Lifeblood to pre-Send Away The Tigers a break. Squeezed in the Past, Present And Future tour, God Save The Manics EP, The Great Western and probably about 20 gigs all in all for that? If he considers that a break he really must be a workaholic! Maybe get another solo album, then.
Well they took a break to do the solo albums from April 2005 to the end of 2006 where they only played one gig....

That'll do me as well. Hope we get a GH they don't tour. Two years though?
At least when they come back they'll seem more alien and out of touch with what's happening! Maybe by then our one world dictatorship will allow us a break from smashing rocks under armed guard to see them play a show?
