Positive that they see the demand for more shows. Will be interesting to see the mix of fans and how many wouldn't have been tempted out to see the bands individually but the combined bill has proved to be too tempting.

Anything about a co-headline EU tour?

Went to see Suede last night... absolutely brilliant as always and the Manics are going to have to be on top form to keep up with them next summer. Although whenever I see them live it does bring home that the post Butler material, as brilliant as it is, seems to have a very common structure and sound throughout. Whilst I've heard the Manics criticised for being a bit samey, they have experimented far more with their styles and sounds over the years.

Anyway, roll on next summer. And if Suede can persuade Desperate Journalist (who opened for them last night and are big Manics fans) that would be a dream come true!

Heard from a friend in the music industry that this is it for 2024 - nothing else is booked so may well be 2025 for the next album.

Well looks like they've still got some more shows up their sleeves...

Suede are just astonishing live, aren't they. I have to admit I never expected them to be as good as they are live. Seen Manics play some of my all time favourite gigs but I share your sentiments, the bar is set pretty high for their performances. Really excited to see both together.

Going to the Edinburgh gig. Will be my 9th time seeing Manics but first time seeing Suede. Looking forward to it.

No idea about Trentham. But Suede aren't on that date.

Please excuse the potentially stupid question if it’s already been covered, but are these ‘Lifeblood’ dates? Or more likely to be standard sets with a sprinkling of songs from the record? Thanks

I'm not sure there's been any official message about what the content of the sets will be but I would expect them to be very greatest hits focussed. Possibly a Lifeblood track or two, but I wouldn't expect more than that. And if we're very lucky and the next album is closer than we think then there could be the possibility of a new song.

My guess at this point is they will finish writing the album before the tour, record it after the tour and release it around March next year. Despite them talking about it for 2 years, they seem to always say there's quite a bit to do.

In interviews, James has said the set will be Greatest Hits focused though they always seem to throw in 1 or 2 rare tracks (rare by 2024 standards anyway) to keep it interesting for themselves. I'm going to put a best on Found That Soul making a return (they've been liking their opening tracks a bit lately).

According to another band on Facebook they were apparently in Rockfield in early March so wonder if some recording’s been started
