Two 7" singles is a pretty bad thing nowadays. Can't see how half of us here will play it. Plus obtaining a digital version might be impossible if ITunes doesn't have it.

Also, I would have preferred an original song instead of a cover on the CD single - better still swap Summer Wind for one of the 7" b-sides... I might not even buy the single now.

It'd have been much more astute of them to stick Days Slip Away on one of the vinyl editions, too.

Some good titles there on the 7"s. Having only read what's in this thread I'd tend to think that there's a mistake and that one of the 7"s is in fact a CD. That would have been more astute of them as well. One of them just better be a picture disc

I think it's becoming some sort of trend now. I saw an ad today for The Young Knives' new single and it's on CD and 2 LP's. Hmm.

I don't get why he's going all this promotional work and yet he seems intent on having as few people as possible hearing his music. Two 7"s? Is the world spinning backwards?

I've heard a rumour the b sides for 'Still A Long Way To Go' will be released on the 'James visiting your drawing room and playing them on your harpsichord' format.

It is odd releasing two 7" vinyls. Very ood. I mean, I'll buy them but it's still werid cos lots of people don't have record players.
When I bought a new CD player last year I made sure I bought a big one with a record player on top of it so I could play vinyls

I hate to rub Milky Joe's nose in it, but I just bought a promo copy of English Gentleman for £2.20 off eBay! Sorry mate, but I'm glad I waited!

Would like to have them now, but they will be hideously over priced, and I want to wait until the weeks its released so it counts towards the charts.

It's presumably some marketing ploy to boost the first week sales by getting fans to run out and buy a limited edition / unusual format. But it is crap because it basically means that there are a couple of b-sides lots of people won't get to hear.
