Well I only warmed up to TLORN when I heard it was number 1 in the midweeks, so I thought "Fuck! Better get into this song then!" Luckily, this song is easier on the ear. And I'm glad I took the #1 option.
Not a shoe in, it'll be a bit of a fight, but we'll make it! (Or rather, I'll do my bit...) |

The single is going to have to sell around 70/80,000 copies to get a #1. I can't see it at all myself, what did YLAINE sell when it got to #2? About 25,000 or something? The sales are pretty high at the moment for singles. Album wise it's a bit lower so a #1 album is more likely.

wow, now I don't know. For the first time in my life I thought about cancelling my Manics order - after 4th listen to PFAYM, but I resisted of course.
I'm looking forward to know if they make this record big. I've absolutely no idea if PFAYM is the right thing that would be bought by everyone just like Truth here in Czech republic. It was common to have it at home. Same with KYE. What do You think now?

As I don't expect reviews to be be very positive (unlike with JFPL) and considering a new Linkin Park album is released the week before, I doubt it'll reach Number 1.

Quote:
TIMTTMY was very big in Sweden. So was KYE. Lifeblood passed by almost unnoticed (don't really know if Empty Souls was ever released as a single here, found it on eBay instead). SATT wasn't much bigger (eventhough obviously YLAINE got a fair amount of radio exposure, since it was a duet with a much loved Swedish singer). The reviews for JFPL wasn't all very good (a lot of "3 out of 5" ratings), probably being as it was a departure from the more well known commercial bombast sound of the Manics, that usually works the best in this country). The new record is like a mix of EMG, TIMTTMY and KYE. And SATT. Hopefully the singles will reach way higher than they have in the last decade or so. Time will tell. *puts on 3D glasses and fetches pop corn*.

Album will go top 20 easy, maybe lower reaches of the top 10.

Postcards From A Young Man (The album) to go #1
further released singles to hover around the #20-#25 mark Considering they couldn't even make #1 in their first week (up against the Script), I think that hurdle may have passed.
