Just to say for any Stalkers, i did some work with a crap Indie Band called Palladium in 2008 for a few months, at Brixton no one is on the stage door until 4pm, just sneak in through the back door and watch soundcheck - Back door, upstairs, walk through, there is the stage.

Yes there is a pretty good pub round the corner just opposite to the right of Brixton Stn i seem to remember.
