I'm buying the new Manics album on deluxe 2CD and one LP, I think releasing 3 versions of the LP is really taking the piss a bit.

Its pretty much the standard tactic of record companies these days. Wolf Alice's latest album was availible on CD, about 4 different colours of vinyl and even several different colour of cassette, for example. Until payment from streaming services is overhauled, this practise is likely to continue.

I was chatting to a friend the other day who collects vinyl all the time and spends a fortune (he has the new Manics LP on order!), and we were saying that it's a shame vinyl is so expensive (and new CDs even) because if they were cheaper than more people would purchase physical media as opposed to just listening to a few odd tracks here and there on Spotify or whatever else people use. The only reason I am ordering the LP is I want the 7" single as I am trying to collect the Manics singles if I can haha!

Best duet since Your Love Alone. And I think the best Manics "single" since then as well. I always think the band are obsessed with selling the song that encapsulates whatever the manifesto for the album or era is, and TSHHM as that type of single is absolutely perfect.

The "I'll be remembered as your brother" line gives me chills every time. Just lifts the whole song.

Not holier than or anything but I'd rather have no popcorn. Gives me something to look forward to and it'll be September before we know it!
I'm going to have to buy a copy for the physical. Speakers knackered, TV connected to.PS3 has knackered speakers. So it's synchronised tablet and smartphone on YouTube with pinpoint pressing play for me unless a miracle happens
