Shame we have to wait longer, I don't really give a monkey's why, whether it's a genuine production issue or part of the great chart position conspiracy (lol).

Amazon emailed saying 14th for the yellow version, which was always a few days behind the standard (was 7th September vs 3rd) so maybe they're taken them in and re-sleeving them with their own outers before sending out?

It's a shame they can't just release the digital version of the album, I know chart positions and releasing everything at once and all that but if the album is done, it's done. Let's hope for another accidental leak.

The days of the Radiohead boys leaking are long gone I feel (or maybe the right people just lost interest). Which was the last MSP album to leak? EIE certainly didn't, I heard it first on HMV vinyl...

I remember Amazon Music accidentally released RIF a week or two early but took it down QUICKLY. Not sure EIE was a big enough album to leak but I think the days of a leak appearing online are long gone. I think Postcards was leaked a bit early but nothing really since then as far as I remember.

Even In Exile.

And it's only an extra week! It'll be released. Just enjoy your time before it's out.

Had emails from Queen and the Beach Boys delaying their vinyls by a few weeks.

So it would seem there’s a vinyl (and Flake) shortage

I wonder if Roger's album is going to be delayed. Heard nothing yet.

The vinyl manufacturing industry is on the verge of collapse. Majors are booking manufacturing slots without even knowing what releases they are going to be. Indies are reporting manufacturing times of 10-12 months; my friend runs a label and an album released in April was due to be a digital & vinyl release on the same day - the LPs finally shipped two weeks ago. Manufacturing plants are adding additional costs to manufacturing during the process. The Future Sound of London are shipping an album this week that was originally due for early March. The whole thing's a nightmare, and ridiculous things like offering multiple colour versions are just adding to the problems. Releasing the digital version with the vinyl coming six months later is becoming increasingly common, further adding to the idea that the record is just a collectible novelty rather than, y'know, the way people actually listen to an album. Throw in Covid and Brexit and... yeah.

Basically, a one week delay is a pretty good outcome at this point.

That probably explains the fairly lengthy gap between official announcement and the release date.

I've ordered from two separate places to the UK over the past year.

Yes-Asia and HMV Japan. The former was an order with a few different CDs that was well packaged in a box so everything arrived perfectly. The latter was the Rewind the Film Japanese Book version, which also arrived perfectly despite having been sent in a padded envelope with an extra bit of wrapping.
