I see it as a triangle. Hold Me Like A Heaven leaning against Let Robeson Sing with Natalie Imbruglia's Torn on the bottom. And the song is the light shining through this.
That's only on first listen to a live version. No idea how studio version will sound. But oh Tolerate! There's echoes of IYTTYCWBN in it. So maybe no Imbruglia.
Tolerate+ Hold Me Like A Heaven + Let Robeson Sing = Complicated Illusions.

Or are my findings completely out?

EDIT: It does sound like the Manics. That's irrefutable.

I like this analysis. I think there is a bit in the second verse that if you listen very carefully and play backwards on a Tuesday will sound like Donald Duck saying ‘She played ‘Beth’ in ‘Neighbours’…’, so you might be on to something there. But overall I would say it has all the tones of an trigonal trapezohedron, - which is really compatible with your triangle theory, just allowing for some reverb and delays to form a series of the triangles into the trigonal trapezohedron form.

It definitely does sound like the Manics too!

Yeah same here.

I really like TSHHM but I think Complicated Illusions is by far the best out of the three new songs.

All the 3 singles so far (assuming ‘Illusions is one) seem to have Radio
2 airplay laser-guided within their sights.

This is the first of the three so far that had me immediately putting it back on for a re-listen due to actually really wanting to listen to it again, rather than trying to like it. I'm always skeptical when people say, "...yeah the lead single is ok, but the rest of the album is even better.." about any new release, not just Manics, but in this case it sounds like it could be accurate. Getting more excited now too.

Another 3-and-a-half-minutes song in need of an extra 40 seconds and a proper ending.

They’re never going to get out of this rut of minimalist songwriting, are they?

I’m not even asking for prog. JDB needs to watch this recent video about ‘Oasis and the art of the outro’ pronto.

I'm hopeful for this album. The three songs so far aren't knocking me out, but the songwriting seems good enough and I can imagine they may work well in an album context. I'm just hoping for an enjoyable collection of songs with one or two standouts, something which RiF didn't really deliver for me. "International Blue" aside it felt more like an album of B-sides and cast offs. Some of the songs were fine individually, but it just didn't work as a coherent album for me, there was nothing tying it together.

Does an album need to be coherent? No one said Sgt Peppers needed to be more coherent

They’re using what must be the Orwellian remix as the intro for this tour. I was anticipating a sizeable beat about to be dropped when they rudely came on and interrupted it. Something else they insist on cutting short. Honestly, these guys…

Not that we'll need much hype but tomorrow will be ten days until new album released.
But then maybe today marked the ten days until album's release? Do you include the release date in the countdown?
Well anyway. Not this Friday, but Friday after.
Hasn't it gone quick!

I'd check the streaming services this Friday, there's a chance one might stick with old release date by accident.
