leericketts, you really shouldn't eat cheese before you go to bed, you will have these strange dreams about the Manics!
I can't top that, but did you know that: 1) Every 'misheard' Manics lyric is in fact the real lyric. For instance, James can bronze his thighs easily. 2) The sample at the beginning of Yes is taken from the original, unaired pilot version of X-Factor, and is spoken Simon Cowell. 3) The Manics will be appearing at this year's Royal Variety Performance, but not as the Manics. Nicky will be appearing as a Lily Savage tribute act; James and Sean will be performing a tribute to The Krankies. |

Album titles explored:
Generation Terrorists, based on Nicky's idea for a new game show where those who practise large scale violence to achieve their goals would appear on a quiz show with their families. Gold Against The Soul: The Soul being of course the unit of currency in Blackwood, the title and the album merely explore the complex economic structures linking the currency to the Gold Standard. The Holy Bible: A spoonerism of Bowly Hible, Hible being an old Welsh friend of the Manics who was known for his ability to get strikes at the local bowling alley, the whole album is a tribute to him, 'Yes' is about his victory cry, '4st 7lb' about the weight of his custom made ball and 'Archives of Pain' about his gallery of everyone he defeated. Everything Must Go: Comes from Sean's obsession with attaching wheels to previously stationary objects, he was unhappy unless everything around him could move or 'go'. This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours: Nicky's emotional outcry after having revealed that it was he who shot JFK, Sean and James famously responded by revealing themselves to be the Chuckle Brothers. Know Your Enemy: Sean's mantra, this is why he is never talks, he is studying everyone he meets to work out how best to dispose of them. Lifeblood: Originally intended to be Sean and Nicky's gansta rap album, after a fire all that was left was 'failure bound' so the album title changed from 'Life, Blad' to the title we all know and love. Send Away The Tigers: Named after Nicky and James's protestations at Sean bringing his pets into the studio. Journal for Plague Lovers: Actually a typo, it was originally going to be an irish punk-rock tribute album 'Journal for Pogue Lovers'.

Sean is banned from entering the British countryside following a court case which was taken out against him by the RSPCA. He was caught in the act while freaking out badgers by staring them out.
His habit of staring animals out is also the reason why pandas won't even shag to save their own species. Whenever they get a big panda lob on, all they can think of is Sean, staring at them, and the stiffy instantly disappears. Sean is particularly fond of bullying dumb animals, which is why he had to leave Wales. The sheep were an all too easy target. Sean, eyeing up an unsuspecting Aardvark: |

Sean has been commissioned to photoshop every FDer into embarassing photographs by James, he'll be done in a few minutes.

The rumoured Manics version of 'come dine with me' was cancelled after Sean refused to eat 'any of that foriegn muck', Nicky brought his own kitchen along that only he could use and James created lobster in white wine sauce with salad and hors d'oeuvres before wrappng it in puff pastry and shoving it all in the oven.

The solo on the demo of VSEC is not a guitar, it's Sean playing a giant rubber band.
Go on, listen. It really is. |
