Managed to hear a sample of this. I wonder if they'll release the full track on Friday as a "one week to go" type thing...

So where are we all expecting the album to chart in the UK charts? I hope they get a No.1 as they always seem to miss out, but we'll have to wait and see. Album sales aren't that strong currently so they will easily get a top 3 as usual, but who knows what will happen. I've ordered two copies, on CD deluxe and LP. Even my friend who has only just got into the band in the last few years and bought a few albums has pre-ordered the vinyl too, so that's an extra sale!

Do well to get Top 5 I'd say.

Heard the full Still Snowing In Sapporo track now after only hearing a sample yesterday, and having a hard time not singing along to singing the title...
Also discovered Japanese radio has some very cool stations to listen to.

Album chartings are an Industry/Label agenda, my concern is if its any good.
I'll admit I can't see myself going to Wembley in December, not keen on the venue, they could probably play about 5 songs from the new LP & then it will be just be the same old singles which I think for many is just getting too boring now, this pattern is the norm for many acts. Did they forget the God Save The Manics EP? I can't see that many songs getting played from KYE. |

Did it appear in the album trailer video? Particularly that swooping sound at the start of the video.

From the bit I've heard nothing on the trailer sounds like it.

If I was to describe it from memory it would go something like this:
Opening is almost acapella, bit like the opening of This Sullen Welsh Heart but much longer, with the vocals under a bed of weird sounds that resemble the very start of Tokyo Skyline (unsurprisingly) - when the instrumentation kicks in it's quite reminiscent of Running Out Of Fantasy with a woodblock tapping out the beat. When the chorus kicks in it sounds a bit like Recuerda mixed with The Last Song and maybe Walk Me To The Bridge....great phased backing vocals and lovely 70s synths.
