Does anyone's picturedisc have a mark on the back like this one?

No. Looks like the clear later has separated from the picture. Replace time

The demo for Blank Diary Entry must be one of James’s lowest vocals - he sounds fuller on this than he did on The Love of Richard Nixon

This Album is now entrenched in my mind.
Not perfect but bloody enjoyable.

I've embraced it for it's uniqueness now.

Blank Diary Entry is by far my least favourite.
Sapporo is amongst their best work in my opinion.

Nicky took the Polaroid photo for the album cover. Makes sense. No professional would use a Polaroid camera for an album cover.

I thought it was Nicky in the photo but, no, according to JDB it was someone who they had just played Don’t Let the Night Divide Us to and that person got up, walked into the sea and was never seen again.

To be fair, I’m filling in the dots of what JDB actually said.

No acoustic sessions for this album? No weekend cooking show appearances?

They (and the legend that is Bob Mortimer!) were supposedly meant to be on C4's Sunday Brunch today, but I just had a look and it looks like they changed guests for some reason, maybe they couldn't make it. Disappointing!

Yeah, they were definitely advertised so who knows. I was really hoping one of them would be playing king of the tin.

It's not bad. Nothing special. Still a lot better than the previous album which wouldn't be hard.

Just playing the demo for Snowing in Sapporo for the first time and hearing James singing with no music at the start caught me by surprise, it was like he was in the room right next to me!
I think my two favs currently are The Secret He Had Missed and Afterending (which I wish had a longer outro).

Wish? JDB, I demand you stop cutting these songs short.

Apart for Blank Diary Entry. I still don’t know what the point of going back to the chorus for a third time is. Should have stuck to one long-ass solo like Archives of Pain.
