Hope this means that they will be announcing a few more US Dates for all you fans over there!
Would love to go to a Manics US date, but buying a house at the moment so that has fucked that idea up this time around.

They just want to roll out the tour when everything's sorted out, I suppose.
I'm praying for some European dates too.

I'd have been surprised if they announced the May/June UK dates 6 months in advance and nothing else in between, so glad that it's happening though, chuffed for anyone over the pond who couldn't make it last month. Well, and those who did make it last month too, good to see them in your continent at least.
If I somehow come up with a surprise couple of grand or summat I'll be there. Doubtful, mind. If they do any European ones around May time, I may be able to do a couple of those...

Crawling out of the woodwork to follow this!! I regretted only attending one show in 2009 - here's hoping for dates in Philly and NYC!

I'd put money on similar cities as last time, and not really surprised we haven't heard anything official, just like last time.

US dates
Makes sense that one or two dates of what will be a larger tour would leak out. I would guess it would be similar to 2009. Maybe a few stops will be dropped that weren't well attended last time (were there any?). So happy to hear this!

Gigs over there are usually much smaller than that, I think.

*crosses fingers* Please play Cleveland, please play Cleveland, please play Cleveland because we're using all our good will and overnight baby-sitting credits with the grandparents to go to the Cardiff Castle gig and I don't know if we'd be able to make it to any other show, although Detroit or Pittsburgh could be workable *crosses toes* *crosses body parts I didn't know I could cross*

I saw them in Philadelphia in 2009 - maybe 100 people there. In NYC, it seems they got *close* to selling out Webster Hall (they may actually have)...that seemed to be about 1,500 or so.
Regardless, for those of us in the US that have very few, if any opportunities to see them, it's just an incredible experience that they even come at all. |
