They said Michael Jackson's- This Is It wouldn't see a release, makes you flock to the cinema and then they release it a few months later.

Nice. I should go to this.

Some possible reasons:

1) It's a clever, and telling reference to Richey not being around... no final full stop (period) on the band, eternal hope of him being ok somewhere else.

2) It's an ironic two-fingered salute to the word 'behave', as in 'hey, we don't need to follow all your punctuation rules, man '.

3) It's designed to appeal to those following the advice given. If so, congratulations, you passed the test, your pure insight, vigilance and bravery led you to point out the lack of the full stop.

4) Someone just forgot
5) It looks better. The other way looks a bit WEK.

Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America,
and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach.
And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face.

I'm sure it will be released somehow, why else would you spend money on making a film?

As someone said above it'll probably just be a ploy to get everyone to trail aaaalllll the way to Cardiff so it sells out, then release it afterwards on DVD. Just like the did with the EMG tour, announced Swansea, made us panic thinking it was a one off so we all booked to go there, then announce other UK dates.

Indeed, there's no way you spend hours and weeks filming and editing something to show it once for £200 of tickets

Stick it in a box set, we'll buy any old bollocks but I'm not going to Cardiff for it

I share the scepticism that this film specifically won't get any other kind of release, but I find the notion that it's impossible anyone could ever make a film without a wide release being planned a little odd.

Films do get made by filmmakers that never get released. Just like paintings, music, literature... we experience what gets released, we don't experience what isn't, and sometimes things only get extremely limited releases, for a wide variety of reasons (legal, financial, artistic or otherwise). Making money and making an artistic statement to as many people as possible are reasons to make a film, but they're not the only reasons.

So it's a concert film but lots of the footage is just shaking the camera around, to kind of, like, you know, 'capture the energy'?

Does anyone know which gig was recorded? Can't recognise the venue from the footage.

I seem to remember that some of it was recorded at Manchester. I think it was just Evans himself recording so its likely it's a mashup of various shows.

He was filming a lot at both Manchester dates (particularly the second if I remember rightly), and maybe one or two London Roundhouse dates - I remember because I was on the front row everytime I turned my head he was filming in our direction!

Ahhh so that's what they're doing. That'll work for me, i'm also not sure what else they could say that hasn't been said before or anything that'd be new to me. I see it as an opportunity to see some MSP in the pictures since that's only happened twice before for me and both those were no manifesto.
