What about a Gold Against The Soul: Anniversary Edition?

Come on, Manics, make it happen! We know you're embarrassed by it but it's my all time fave albums of yours!

Sans SYMM. They can't be more embarrassed about GATS than that. Surely?

Edited the title to avoid people thinking there's one planned/coming out.

GATS is my least favourite, but sure i would buy it. i'd buy all "re-issued super deluxe" ones, mind, especially if the new found "let us not fuck consumers too much anymore" approach from GT is how Sony will do things from now on.

we have been getting a release a year for how many years now? i am not sure on the mathematics of either album, but unless they plan on something new next year a GATS or TIMTTMY re-release in 2013 would be nice, depending on which has a nice number to say it is the anniversary of.

I think the singles are great, as is Sleepflower. The rest is total garbage of course, but there were some good b-sides in the GATS era... I'd buy a reissue.

It could do with a remaster, that's for sure. There's some decent b-sides and live recordings of that era as well, so it would seem a shame not to.

Can they honestly be more embarassed by GATS than GT...?

Aside from the last two tracks, GATS and the bsides are flawless.
I'd love a reissue, but my wallet wouldn't right now, stupid student problemssss

They should ditch the album tracks and make it into an EP with just the singles and Sleepflower, that's the only way to make a decent album out of it.

Stick the b-sides on another disc and a DVD of one of the Bangkok gigs from 1994 would do nicely.

.
1. Sleepflower
2. From Despair to Where
3. La Tristessa Durera
4. Yourself
5. Life Becoming A Landslide
6. Donkeys
7. Roses in the Hospital
8. Nostalgic Pushead
9. Us Against You
10. Comfort Comes
11. Symphony of Tourette
12. Gold Against the Soul

That's my playlist version. I happen to think it works rather well.

The singles plus Sleepflower and some b-side were great even if the whole album is not as much relevant as TIMT so I would prefer a 15 years edition of this one.Anyway I'd buy the anniversary edition of any of their album if it came in the same way and price of the GT one.
