Find a Manics lyrics for my mood.
I like to listen to something I can relate to at a particular moment in time. Like most people I suppose. But sometimes I just can't think of a song, or more accurately, a lyric, to express how I'm feeling. And more often that not, I can't filter through the hundreds of Manics songs in my hear to find it. So, how about a thread where we describe our feelings and someone suggests a lyric?
I'll start with something that describes feeling like you're talking to yourself Anyone help me find a MSP song to play so I can mope over it? I just can't think of any right now.

Nobody Loved You and Too Cold Here for starters!

No one knows what it's like to be me.....
Always works for me when no one's listening!

Too Cold Here suits most negative moods. Probably my favourite ever MSP track.

It's not what's wrong? It's what's right? Feels like I'm talking a different language sometimes .... All Is Vanity
And Further Away

I always think 'It's not "What's wrong?", it's "What's right?"' is a very similar lyric to Too Cold Here's "Everyone asks what's wrong, but what's right?". Guess it's a recurring theme.

Yup. Ties in nicely with "Do not listen to a word I say, just listen to what I can't keep silent" IMO. Wire seems to like using "empty souls" a lot, not to mention "forever delayed", which he chucks around a lot.

I sometimes wonder if a lyric he's proud of gets used and later regretted that it wasn't quite how he wanted it, so used it again later?

Lovely song. That's one for when I've grumped off to bed because talking to my partner's not as fulfilling as talking to a wall
Anyone else got a mood they need matching? These people have made my melancholia more tuneful

OK try this one -
Fear, and not having enough hours in the day! I'm off on holiday tomorrow with my two tiddlers, aged 2 and 1. Can't wait to get there, but I'm dreading the journey. It could be four or five hours of complete hell. Also, I only have today to get everything done, and I'm nowhere near ready to go, and still stuck at work watching the clock go round.

Petrified for the millionth time,
Slowly my soul evaporates... I know what's coming, I'm not working... [in several senses I suppose!] And of course, Behave Yourself Baby!
