Manics and merch/web shop

How can Manics be so fucking poor when it comes to their web shop and merch in general? They’re really bad at this.
They’ve had some great designs over the years but a lot of crap too. And they hardly ever update merch except for a few design for each tour cycle.

Isn’t it weird when you think of the kind of band they are?

Well they have said they prefer people doing their own MSP clothes etc. So in that sense the poor/boring official merch isn't weird or surprising at all.

Oh, I didn’t know. Makes sense, but where did they say this?

Not really, the tat always felt more of a pr move through the label rather than something the band particularly cares about and i appreciate that about them. I'd rather them focus on the music and keeping their gigs affordable unlike so many bands of their longevity that charge a fortune to put on a glorified cabaret act with a bunch of plastic tat that ends up in landfill/the ocean. Though if they do insist on having a store then i wish the management would get someone that can fulfil the basics like complete and non-broken or missing items. Anyway, i've seen more creativity in what the fans make than what you can officially buy.

And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face.

Sorry, I have no recollection where this was originally said. Somewhere in.print, I think. I believe it was Wire who said it.

I quite like tat ...partial to spending a few pennies in the Beatles shop - mugs notebooks pens oystercard holders , coasters ..nothing tooooo expensive.
Bit bored of t-shirts ..there's only so many you can wear.

Would be nice to see some similar manics tat
I did find an oystercard holder (travel pass for those who don't know) on Amazon with the emg cover. Made good use of that till it got scratched and grubby.

They'd have to be more popular but I'd fucking love a manics monopoly game

Please don't make me start thinking about creating a Manics monopoly board... please don't... on dear lord I'm thinking about it.

Suicide Alley and Hazelton Avenue are the stand out choices for locations. Oh, and it will be "Go directly to Prison which will bring pain, do not pass Go Buzz Baby Go, do not collect 200 (for which anyone can conceive a god on video)"

I'd still like a Hood (Had my beard and hair shaved off! With the hood up I feel tiny dancing on the back of head when moving!) but never have enough by time of gig.

I just want a replacement for my SATT era logo mug that now, 14 years later, is pretty much just a plain white mug.

anything that's not just a 1x1 square print of the current album's artwork please!

I live in consent fear my Manics mugs will get destroyed. They should just do a range of homeware. Forget the t-shirts, I want a Manics teetowel.

Mine are ornaments for precisely this reason. Thumbs up for practical merch
