Misguided Missile

I expected the worst with a title like that, but this song is superb. Classic Manics chorus, majestic and soaring, and I have no idea what he's saying.

Not one of my favourites, I think the chorus is a bit lacking. I do enjoy the guitar solo though.

This is one of my least faves on the album, I think it is the vocal arrangement on the verses which puts me off it.

It's definitely up there! But I like the song a lot, the tense vocal delivery, the musical relation to "Marlon J.D." and the starkness of the way it just stops.

Just as well they didn't get the children's choir to sing about "still fill your void" then, eh? #savilereference

The opening lines of the chorus make me cringe, great verse though

I'm starting to get into this song. Love the synths in the intro. And the dm7 in the verse. The chorus is a bit over-the-top and lazy. But nice to hear a solo (the only solo on the album?).

Even though I loved this album as a whole from the first listen, individual songs are now clicking with me. Making me to return to them singularly.

This is one of them! It's fucking brilliant.
Whilst Next Jet is still the one for me at the moment Missile is getting close.
And for all those who won't let THB go, surely 'I am crawling into corners...' Must float your boat?! It's sung so dark and sinister it should satisfy all Manics fans

On an 80s themed album this one has, along with SPLAM, got the most 80s sounding title to my ears. And it is much better than its title.

It sounds like Nicky's version of FASTER and one of my favourites on the album. What's wrong with the title? It's surely not as bad as Autumnsong
