Listened to IKTZ recently?

I got it on the car CD player the other day by mistake and suddenly realised all over again why I love it.

Has anyone else listened to it recently?

I have only listened to it twice - I think that was enough

last time all the way through was some time last week I think, but Everything Fades for instance has been on my too and from work playlist since the promos started appearing and still sounds amazing to me, and a couple of the other songs aren't far behind it.

I always listen to it, a lot more than most of the manics back catalogue recently anyway.

Yesterday, today... I started playing it obsessively last week after my flat mate banned Send Away The Tigers. I felt it was a suitable revenge.

I love it, his voice doesn't piss me off like i seems to for other people, the lyrics are better than say the majority of Send Away the Tigers, and the playing and production is nice and different to the polished sheen of MSP...

Take out So Much For the Future/Sensucht, replace them with Memory Bucket and Daydreamer Eyes. Perfik.

It always seems to end up being one of the albums I don't necessarily set out to listen to, but randomly put on when I can't think of anything else, if that makes sense?

So, about three hours ago, now.

I don't listen to IKTZ regularly now, but then I don't regularly listen to any album I bought more than a month ago. I still think it's a fabulous solo album and I eagerly await a follow-up to it more than I do to The Great Western or Send Away the Tigers.

Listening to it quite a lot still at the moment - some sort of therapy relief away from the manics albums! Has to be said I hammered JDBs album when i first had that, but don't listen to it so much now.

Nicky really can't sing too well...but it really suits the sense of the album

I love Nicky's voice too and it certainly doesn't piss me off... I really like the lyrics too and Daydreamer eyes is so beautiful. I like the production because it is different from the manics and the fact Nick's voice isn't polished is a plus for me. I wonder if we'll ever get anything else from him...
