How about Let Roebson Sing?

So are the b-sides just the Japanese bonus tracks, plus a remix?

Eheh. But actually you're right about the fact there aren't many singles that don't contain their titles in the lyrics. And btw maybe U.K. Channel Boredom fits on this list? I'm not sure, though, gotta check the lyrics.

I really hope not. I've been so excited about more new songs :/ Manics b-sides tend to be so awesome! (I'm listening to my Manics b-side playlist on Spotify for the second time today )

I think Futurology is a very poor choice of single. I rarely listen to this song now because it bores me. It's a song missing a great chorus and a fuck off solo.

UK Channel Boredom was never an official single though. Wouldn't have minded hearing it at the O2 gig mind

Oh, and they do say the title!

I'd agree on the first part, but I still like the song, and think the lack of solo is admirably restrained on JDB's part

But on the single choice, I reckon pretty much anything off Futurology (barring the instrumentals...) could have made an equally good (if not better) single. It makes me wonder if they just threw darts at the album tracklisting pinned to a wall and picked the one it fell on. Either that or they just went for it as it's the title track/opening track etc.

Personally I would have preferred BTCATB...but oh well, it's not as if singles mean much at all these days for the Manics, barring the available extra tracks!

On reflection, I'm not surprised Futurology was a single. The band/the label/whoever usually picks one of my least favourites for a single. Shame it became such a safe choice for them, their singles used to be a statement.

I agree with you on UK Channel Boredom but I love New Art Riot! "Museums are dead, take a new art stance" is a great line.

Nope, although it has artwork and a music video.
