Personally "Lifeblood" is not to my taste. I prefer the rockier sound of the band.

Nottingham - so five years ago tomorrow. You were there queuing with Jenny when we finally arrived from Plymouth having travelled all night, we then proceeded to curl up on the street in our sleeping bags and not sleep.

I was at Nottingham, which was five years ago tomorrow. I mostly remember there being loads of Manics fudge-based puns in the queue and they had to stop Australia due to someone throwing drinks at the mixing desk.

Didn't you go to Manchester as well? I saw a ton of people from here at that show.

That was Tristan the sound man he spilt his drink on the desk, which is a shame as I liked Tristan - he had a good hat. He never did another tour with them after that though.

It was good though as wasn't then when Nicky went into the centre front of stage and did a selection of jumps to entertain people mid song. Also that was the gig where Wire took off his shoes wasn't it and just ran around in his tights (well and a jacket and that hodded jumper which he claimed was a dress).

Still as today is Plymouth - James's bin bag flower hat!

I never knew it was one of their sound men that did it! How embarrassing; no wonder he never got invited back

Yeh, I didn't have a ticket until about 5 minutes before doors though. I only went to say hello to people in the queue / pub.

Sweet memories...

Winning the tickets with a quiz on the radio. The jokes on the Eurostar. The guy helping us out in the underground. Getting in at Wembley arena at the last minute... 1985!
