The first Rankin I thought of was Ian Rankin the Scottish crime novelist!

amusingly enuff, Ian Rankin *did* have his back jacket photo taken by Rankin, on one of the reprint runs
so the credit was 'Rankin by Rankin' which then reminded me of 'Uptown Top Ranking', that single from the 70s with the two reggae lasses which then made me smile
