Influenced by Queen
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_%...9#cite_note-64
Manics are a part of the list of bands influenced by Queen and there's a citation #56 - a BCC interview which is not available anymore. Does anyone have it? I only remember James (or whom...) telling they wanted to create Queen-esque arrangement of La Trisstesse which was successful I guess

Once again, I point you to JDB's opening vocal on 'Faster'. He sounds like Mr Mercury!!

It's totally true!!
It's just the lines 'I am an architect, they call me a butcher'. But you can totally picture it as Freddie.

#Winter lovers... Winter trees... we will... we will... rock you...
#Who wants to live ... Foreverrrrrrr..... delayed. #Nail it to the House of Lords / You will be buried in the same box as a killer, as a killer, as a killer .... Queeeeeen /Gunpowder, Gelatine, Dynamite with a laser beam... I'm sure there is more Manics / Queen splicing fun to be had.

now that i think about it, i want to hear the Manics do Radio Ga Ga. think - James doing "you had the time, you had the power", Nicky doing that ace "wobble" bass line (sorry, not a muso) and Sean doing whatever the hell Sean does, probably just the clap thing.

No. this is not the influence. this is picture by Mick Rock (yesterday I put his several pictures of Bowie in Black And White Pictures thread). the session by Kevin Cummins, as I assume you mean these shots
wasn't inspired by the photos of Queen by Mick Rock. In January I pm'ed Mr Cummins on myspace about this and this is his response Quote:
